Embracing Complexity: Lived Experience Engagement in CPD Scholarship

There is increasing recognition in CPD of the value the engaging people with lived expertise of health system encounters in the design and actualization of initiatives. However, scope of lived experience engagement is often limited and is rarely extended to CPD scholarship. In this presentation, through real life examples, we will explore practical approaches, processes, and practices for meaningfully engaging people with lived experience in CPD scholarship. This presentation will illustrate the possibilities and opportunities that become possible when people with lived experience have an equal seat and voice at the table.
