FAQs – Medical Record-Keeping

1. When will the accreditation letter be issued?
  Accreditation letters will be issued on pre-determined dates approximately 6-8 weeks after the workshop. If you require your accreditation letter to be issued before the scheduled date, please contact mrk.cpd@utoronto.ca to assist with this request. Note, there will be a rush administrative fee of $100.
2. When are pre-workshop and post-workshop exercises due?
  Pre-work exercises are due 48 hours prior to the start of the workshop. Post-workshop application to practice exercises are due 3 weeks after the workshop.
3. What is the process for reviewing exercises?
  Exercises are reviewed and assessed based on the requirements established by the CPSO for medical record keeping. Assessors will look for evidence of individual self-reflection and commitments to change for record keeping practice.
4. I don’t have access to patient records to complete the exercises. What can I do?
  If you do not have access to current patient records to complete the exercises, please use past records or consult with a colleague.
5. What is required to successfully complete the program?
  To successfully complete the program, participants must:
  - Actively participate in all live sessions offered as part of your cohort (full-day in-person workshop or two half-day digital workshops)
  - Complete all pre-workshop and post-workshop exercises.
6. When will I gain access to the learner web portal?
  Assess to the password-protected learner web portal, containing links to submit pre-workshop and post-workshop exercises, will be sent up to three weeks before the cohort start date. If you are registering less than three weeks before the workshop, you will be sent access following your registration.

8. Are there specific computer requirements for the digital workshops?
