Dear Colleague,
The continued success of the University of Toronto’s Update in Minimally Invasive Surgery Meeting has been due to a combination of excellent speakers, dedicated participants, and enthusiastic exhibitors.
With this in mind, we welcome you to join us at the 5th Annual Update in Minimally Invasive Surgery Meeting held at the Delta Toronto, 75 Lower Simcoe Toronto, November 20-21, 2015
Not only does it provide a centralized forum for practising general surgeons interested in Minimally Invasive Surgery, it allows for an opportunity to meet face to face.
This year’s state-of-the-art update by leading University of Toronto faculty includes:
- Hernia repair, including laparoscopic and open component separation technique, “Sport’s hernia”, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair techniques, and post-herniorrhaphy groin pain
- Foregut surgery update, including complicated gall bladder surgery, GERD, upper GI bleeds, and new techniques for achalasia
- Laparoscopic colorectal update, including TAMIS, colectomy state-of-the-art in 2015, and new technologies for haemorrhoidectomy
- Solid organ surgery: laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy, and splenectomy for the large and small spleen
Back by popular demand: Our Hands on Workshop held at the University of Toronto Surgical Skills Centre on November 21st. The day will incorporate the practical application of this year’s hot topics.
