Dr. Bledsoe completed her undergraduate education in psychology at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh (MSW) and Columbia University (MPhil, PhD). She trained and was supervised in IPT through the Western Psychiatric Clinic in Pittsburgh from 2001-2003.
Dr. Bledsoe has participated as a study-therapist/supervisor in 4 different IPT research studies and has contributed to the adaptation of Brief IPT, IPT-B for pregnant mothers, IPT for mothers of Infants and Toddlers, and IPT-B for pregnant adolescents. She has been an IPT trainer and supervisor for since 2003. She teaches both an IPT short course for master’s level clinicians at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and provides regular continuing education workshops in the basics of IPT throughout North Carolina.
