Summary

Interactions with the healthcare system can be an intimidating experience for many Indigenous peoples, given the historic mis- treatment in institutions. The Champlain Region Aboriginal Cancer Program aims to remove barriers within the healthcare system to provide the patient with a culturally safe cancer journey.
