Ground Travel Options from Toronto
The below ground transportation options may be suitable for those looking for alternative or cheaper options for getting to London from Toronto.
FlixBus ($25-$30 each way; 2.5-3hr travel time)
This is a coach bus company with multiple daily departures from Pearson Airport and from Union Station to Downtown London. Pre-purchase of bus ticket is required.
Robert Q ($100 each way; 2.5hr travel time)
This is an airport shuttle bus with scheduled trips between Toronto Pearson Airport and London. Check-in deadline is 15-mins prior to the scheduled departure. Book with the code NPEC25 for a 10% discount
Via Rail ($42-$85 each way; 2.5hr travel time)
Travellers to Pearson can take the UP Express train to Union Station ($9, 30-mins) to catch a Via Rail train to London. There are multiple departures daily to London.
CPEN Nurse & Canadian Pediatric Endocrine Subspecialty Resident/Fellow Accommodations
The Canadian Pediatric Endocrine Group is pleased to maintain its support of fellows in training and our nursing colleagues by offering three (3) nights* of accommodation to out-of-town fellows and out-of-town active CPEN nurses at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London Ontario (depending on availability of two beds). You will be asked during the registration process if you require accommodations and if you have a roommate in mind. Do not contact the hotel directly if you fall under these categories as CPD will complete the booking for you. The deadline to submit the request for accommodation is January 8, 2025. We cannot guarantee availability of free accommodation after this date.
This support is only available to out-of-town CPEN Nurses and Canadian Training Pediatric Endocrine Subspecialty Residents/Fellows. Non-Canadian trained, non-Pediatric Endocrine subspecialty, and medical students do not qualify and will be responsible for booking their own room.
*CPEG is offering up to three (3) nights of accommodation to out-of-town fellows who are attending the Fellows Symposium on Thursday, February 6, 2025 (begins at 9:00 AM).
CPEN Travel Reimbursement
Travel is not included in the registration fee. For out-of-town active CPEN nurse members, the Canadian Pediatric Endocrine Group has committed a travel reimbursement of up to $500/nurse. Please refer to the travel expense claim form which will be emailed to you.
